Keep adding two or three events per chapter to your plot line. Do not go beyond Chapter 14 as some students have not finished reading those chapters.
Write these events under assignment #4, highlighting the chapters and adding bullets for the events.

Create a collage with these pictures, putting the character's name under each picture. You can decide what materials to use for your collage. These will NOT be posted on the WIKI.
Be creative! Have fun with this assignment. It will be interesting to see how everyone pictures each character.

Chapter 13-In Chapter 13, the guests have to carry candles around because the generator is off that Mr. Rodgers worked. Vera screamed and Blore, Armstrong, and Lombard came sprinting up to her in her room. After they got secure, they wondered where Wargrave was. They found him in the house with a wig on dead. He had gotten shot in the head.
Chapter 14-In Chapter 14, the guests go to bed. Blore hears a noise and goes outside his room checking on the others. He notices that Armstrong is gone so he gets the others. Blore and Lombard go searching and tell Vera to stay in her room. Vera thinks she hears noises and then the guys come back finding nothing. They find a windowpane broken and only three indians figurines remaining.
Chapter 15-In Chapter 15, there are only three guests remaining. They are arguing about who is the murderer. Blore goes by himself to get something from the house and is crushed by a marble clock that was in Vera's room. Vera and Lombard also find Armstrong's body in between to rocks by the sea.
Chapter 16-In Chapter 16, Lombard starts to snare at Vera. Vera pick pockets Lombard and gets his revolver. He lunges for it and she shoots him threw the heart. Vera is tired and goes up to her room. There is a noose on the wall and remembers that the last Indian hangs himself. She thinks that Hugo wants her too so she hangs herself.

Setting-This is at Indian Island in the past time.
Rising Action-Chapter 1-In Chapter 1, there were a couple events that had action that leads to Chapter 2. All of the guests are on their way to the sea, where they will take a boat to Indian Island, either by car or train. All guests are wondering why they have been invited and what they are going to do.
Chapter 2-In Chapter 2, the guests arrive at the dock and are taken by boat to the island. They all get settled in their rooms and Armstrong comes late.
Chapter 3-In Chapter 3, all the guests eat a fantastic dinner in the house. After, the dinner they hear a voice, but they don't know where it is from. It is explaining all the murders each guest has made. Lombard sees that it a recorder and they drink after at the tables.
Chapter 4-In Chapter 4, all the guests defend themselves, when they are talking about the murders. The guests don't like it at the island so they plan to leave on the boat that comes every morning to bring food. Seconds after Tony Marston dies by choking.
Chapter 5-In Chapter 5, the guests come to a conclusion that Marston was poisoned and wonder if he killed himself. After putting him in his bed, they go to bed locking their doors. The guests soon become freaked out about the house and go to bed. Mr. Rodgers notices that one indian from the table that had ten indians is missing.
Chapter 6-In Chapter 6, Mr. Rodgers wakes Dr. Armstrong and tells him that Mrs. Rodgers is not waking up. Moments later they find that she has died, maybe of overdose of sleeping pills. After breakfast, Mr. Rodgers and Armstrong tell the other guests about the death. They jump to conclusions. Mr. Rodgers pulls Armstrong aside and tells him that there are only 8 indians left at the table.
Chapter 7-In Chapter 7, the guests are getting worried and anxious to get off the island. Some of the guests are still talking about the murders that all guests have committed and others think it is weird that two deaths have already happened in two days.
Chapter 8-In Chapter 8, Blore, Lombard, and Armstrong go out to find the person that they think is on the island that is a killer. While that is happening, Wargrave is sitting on a chair by the sea watching his last days of his life.
Chapter 9-In Chapter 9, all the guests are still criticizing each other about things. At lunch one day, Armstrong runs to get Macarthur and realizes that he is dead. He dies from a blow to the head.
Chapter 10-In Chapter 10, the guests are getting suspicious about each other. They are blaming each other for being the murder. In the mean time they are running out of food and are forced to eat canned food.
Chapter 11-In Chapter 11, the guests are wondering why Mr. Rodgers didn't wake them in the morning. They soon find him in the shed dead with a hatchet wound in his back. Now the guests have to fend for themselves, making their own food and supplying themselves.
Chapter 12-In Chapter 12, the group calls for a conference and go to get Emily Brent. She is sitting in a chair dead. Armstrong says she died from a hypodermic syringe and notice that Lombard's revolver is missing. Line goes here between assignments.

Assignment #3
Anthony Marston was a young and "hot" guy who was a lady's man. He was 6 feet tall, built(muscular), had crisp hair, blue eyes, and was tan. Emily Brent was an old lady who was 65 years old. She got cranky very easily. For example on the train ride to the sea, she was very mad about the heat in the carriage. She always wanted to be busy with something to do, and she was an old-fashioned lady. Mrs. Rodgers was a hostess at the house on Indian Island. Her husband, Mr. Rodgers, was a host there also. She was described in this book as a rather old lady that was ghostly looking. She hadn't even met the Owens before. Dr. Armstrong was a doctor. He was young and very wealthy. He drove a Morris, which was a very nice car in that day in time. He worked with ladies and actually rooked people from their hard worked money. He would tell women that they had a wierd illness and have them go under surgery or have to get worked on in another way. These operations would cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, and this is how he became so wealthy. Finally, after years of doing this he got caught. General Macarthur was a pretty old man who served in the army almost his whole life. A while before he got invited to Indian Island Macarthur retired from the army. Instead of taking the train to the sea where they would go on a boat to the island he took his car. He thought that he was visiting old friends on the island. But he was wrong.

The first sentence is unnecessary. It doesn't serve a purpose as paragraphs are not started that way. Even though this was to be written in bullet-style (see the directions), you should get out of the habit of starting paragraphs that way.
Check all spelling (assignent), punctuation (, after island in the third last sentence), and grammar (easy should be easily).

I picked foreshadowing. One example of foreshadowing in Chapter 2 is when all of the guests realized that they had a poem that said that there were ten indians and all of them got hurt or distracted and end up leaving until there are none left. Later on the book all of the ten guests disappear with no trace. Another foreshadowing was when one of the ladies, Emily Brent, was reading the bible at the end of the chapter. I think that this indicates that Emily Brent thinks that something will go wrong with the trip. Another is when Wargrave and Armstrong met by the house. They were talking and they both realized that they didn't recognize many of the names of the guests on Indian Island. Dr. Armstrong was wandering if he went to the wrong house. The last froeshadowing I found for this question was when Vera asked how many hosts and hostesses were at the house to Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers. They told her they were the only ones and they had not even met the Owens before! They just got a note asking them if they would want to be there to work. At least that is what the Rodgers said.

Good paragraphs to explain foreshadowing. Check spellings and capitalization - Indian and Bible are ALWAYS capitalized. By reading your response out loud, you will hear some of the other mistakes.

Before reading Chapter 1, consider the following:
how does a mystery novel differ from a narrative?
how might the title be a clue to the story?
=I think a mystery novel is a book/story that contains a mystery. In this type of book you read about problems in the book. Then at the end of the book most or all of these problems are solved. A narrative is an ordinary book. It could be of any type. It could be a mystery it could be a different type too. The title And Then There Were None gives many clues. People have different thoughts about what this book will be about. From the title I think this book with be about a group of people that one by one disappear. No one knows where they went and there is no trace of where they went. After a while none are left. 12/1/09 In Chapter 2 the guests have arrived at the house at Indian Island. In all of the guest's rooms there is a poem. They all have the same poem. I think that this poem about the 10 indians is indicating the 10 guests. One by one the indians get hurt or distracted until none are left. This is indicating that one by one the guests are going to disappear. I actually think that this is true in the book.
